Art Studio | Mrs. Lydia Lei
Meets: Mondays 4:30 - 6:00pm
Description: There is a definite skill in being able to transfer what you see onto a piece of paper, and it is a learnable skill. Following a classical plan of learning how to draw, then learning how to color, then learning how to paint, we will complete several projects working on developing technical skills while being exposed to the fine art that will also help develop art appreciation. This class is structured to help those who desire to learn new skills or develop already existing skills further. No previous experience necessary. Students will be able to work at their own pace with individual as well as class guidance to complete projects including, but not limited to, fine pencil sketches, chalk and charcoal drawings, pen and ink, and acrylic painting. This class will be offered both semesters, allowing students to continue working on projects and attempting more complex works. However, each semester can also be taken as a stand-alone class.
Students will have to provide their own drawing paper, pencils, erasers, paintbrushes and other such personal equipment. Specialized or group equipment, just as paint, special paper (watercolor paper, pastel paper, tracing paper) etc. will be provided. Online enrollment not available.
Tuition: $150 / Semester
